The Bounce Way To Wellness

October is mental health month, and here at Bounce, we make wellness a high priority by looking after our minds and bodies.  

There’s no doubt that COVID-19 has had an enormous impact on everyone, and prioritising mental health and wellness is more important than ever. The statistics show that 1 in 5 Australians are affected by mental illness annually, but many people don‘t seek help because they are afraid or embarrassed.

Practising self-care is something I regularly advocate. I know it’s easy to put others first, especially when we work in the world of helping others, but if you don’t take care of yourself and fill up your cup, you can’t be your best at work or with your family and friends.

Self-care is an integral part of the team culture at Bounce. Self-care starts at the top, and our company VALUES help set the tone for our culture. Values are the things that are important to the organisation and they guide the behaviours that we strive to uphold everyday. When we are living and working in line with our values, we create a culture that is compassionate, supportive, inspiring and most of all, fun!

We have created the Bounce Way To Wellness as a way to identify and promote self-care activities easily. The Way to Wellbeing incorporates our five favourite strategies to help boost our moods, give us more energy, keep us focused and grateful for the things that really matter.

We like to ACTIVELY practise these key strategies to help us achieve positive wellness and strong mental health.

Bounce Brain Break

The things we need throughout the working day to boost our dopamine levels when they start to dip.

Bounce Breathing Space

 Deep breathing, connecting with beautiful spaces in nature, focusing on things we find relaxing or peaceful. 

Strengths Session

When we are learning and working in our strengths we perform easily, effectively and produce great work.

Bounce Energy Boost

The things we do to move our bodies, stay active, nourish ourselves with and find joy in.

Bounce Brain Break

The things we need throughout the working day to boost our dopamine levels when they start to dip.
